About €1.13 to the £ here. Harking back to the "good old days" I got 236 escudos to the £ here (1992) and 242 escudos to the £ in Albufeira in 1992. 600 more escudos when you changed £100. That was an extra 3 pints of beer! LOL Times have certainly changed. I'll put it down to "progress"!

Possible that the pound has now started its `summer slide` ... now 1.157 .. but it has been fairly volatile for a few weeks of the `vaccine` boost ..

That is 8 cents less than the going rate ...  and a stark warning to all those travelling from UK .. get euro cards ... use multibanco with normal cards ... dont xchange in airports or in Albufeira ..

In 2002 it was €1.52 for £1, happy days and very unlikely to see them again.

Lap it up ... still sitting around 1.16 ... but few are buying euros and when they do it should go down a bit ...

Must be getting better. Her Majesty sent me an extra €13,22 this month. I shall treat myself.

Ready to lose 10 euros per pound ? After a three month climb to almost 1.18, the pound is back where it was last April around 1.15 .. from where it went steadily down all summer to 1.08 by September 2020 ..

I was hoping to come in September but its the cost of the tests that might stop me. I might just cancel my ferry now and get about 90% back. The wife would be happy as the money we would have spent will go towards a new bathroom.

Jet2 just announced no holiday flights before June 23rd 2021 at the very earliest, beginning to worry for  our September holiday now
