It is fairly bright this morning. Temperature at 0800 is 11.8º, wind is very light. Expecting some cloud later, which will keep the temperature down to 18 or 19º at best. No rain is forecast. It will be a little warmer tonight than last night, 14 or 15º at midnight and the wind coming from the south. Tomorrow should be slightly warmer thn today but a little windier. That's ahead of showers and possibly longer spells of rain heading our way for Wednesday and the following days.

Cloudy this morning and it will be all day. Temperture at 0740am is 14.3º, wind is very light, from the south. Maximum temperature today 20º, it will become windier as the day goes on. It is not expected to rain. Wind from the south mens it won't be cold tonight, still 17 or 18º at midnight. Different story tomorrow, with rain expected from the early hours of the morning which could possibly last all day. Warm rain though, daytime temperature around 20º. Not very nice on Thursday and Friday either.

Warm, 18.3º at 0730am, but quite windy with cloud building up to the south. There is an orange warning for heavy and persistent rain across the region during the day. Maximum temperature 20 or 21º. The rain radar obviously has something wrong, cannot see any detail where it's raining at the moment. It will be warm and windy through the night, ahead of another probably very windy and wet day tomorrow. Friday and the weekend aren't looking very nice either.

Update 1215 : torrential rain earlier. 23.1mm (almost an inch) of rain recorded between 1000 and 1100. And it is still raining, but not so hard. Very windy this morning, making things outside rattle and bang. Grey sky, rain in the air. It is not cold though, temperature at 0725 is 19º. There is a large area of thunderstorms making its way up the west coast, that will miss us. A larger area of rain is approaching from the south. It might be like yesterday, where most of it missed us, but we can't be so lucky again, surely? It will be windy all day. Maximum temperaure 20º. It could be raining more or less at any time tomorrow and over the weekend. Fairly windy as well but not cold.

Yesterday's rain during the day and early evening totalled 55.9mm (2 and a bit inches); Faro airport recorded almost twice that. Another rainy day is forecast for today, but it dry and fairly bright at the moment. Temperature at 0745am is 16.3º, the wind is light and from the south-west. There could be rain at almost any time today, possibly with fairly heavy thundery showers. Maximum temperature 18º. The forecast for the weekend and Monday is also fairly wet, but should be a little warmer.

I presume the heavy rain caused the rock fall by the Sol-e-mar hotel

Yes, that's been told of as the cause. Minor rockfalls up near me as well. Flooding and wind damage in Faro. And another fairly unpleasant day is expected today. It's raining steadily, temperature at 0740am is 17.3º. The wind is light at the moment, but expected to increase during the morning. The radar shows a very large area of rain from the south-west crossing the region during the day. Some of the rain might be heavy, an orange weather warning is in force. Maximum temperature 19º. Things should calm down this evening. Tomorrow should be a better day but still with some showers around. From Monday, a distinct change in the weather! Dry and sunny in the daytime, but much colder at night.

Albufeira had 44.5mm of rain yesterday, with 19mm falling in the hour between 1300 and 1400. Down in the west, Sagres was the wettest place on the mainland with 89mm (3.5") of rain. Up near Loulé, a wind gust of 130.7kph (82mph) was noted.Today will be just a showery day! Temperature in Albufeira is 13.7º, wind is light, scattered cloud. There will be showers today, not too heavy or prolonged. Maximum temperature 19º. There might be some more rain during the night, but on the whole Monday should be dry but a little colder. From Tuesday the wind direction will be from the north. Dry days, 16º or so, but very cold at night, down to as low as 7 or 8º.

It's a bit cloudy this morning, light wind from the north, temperature at 0730 is 14.3º. There is a chance of the odd light shower or two, but on the whole a fairly nice day. Maximum temperature of 18 or 19º. It's going to be getting cold at night with the wind from the north, around 11º tonight but getting progressively much colder as the week goes on, down to 6 or 7º by Friday. Maximum daytime temperature between 15º and 18º, it is expected to stay dry until Sunday or Monday.

A glowing orange object can be seen in the sky. Called sun I believe. It will be out there all day, with a maximum temperature expected of 21º. Right now at 0745 it is not very warm, showing 10.7º at the local weather station. This is going to the pattern until at least Sunday. Dry sunny days, but getting cold, at 15º by Friday, very cold at night in an icy blast from the north. Night-time could be as low as 6º.

It was a very nice day yesterday. Might not be quite so warm today, with the north wind and some cloud around. Temperature at 0820am is 10.2º, wind is light from the north. Clear sky overhead, some clouds out on the horizon. Maximum today 16 or 17º. It will be cold tonight, temperature down to 10º by midnight and 8º pre-dawn tomorrow. That's going to be the general pattern until Sunday, when it is expected to be warmer, but with a chance of rain coming in.
