Road still closed as of this morning. Very deep and wide trench at the top end. I will try to get a picture on Sunday morning.

On Rua 1º Dezembro the pavement is now completely dug up and is now just uneven dirt. Walking along there may be awkward for some people and definitely if you are pushing the baby!

Work was due to be completed at the end of February! The Jaipur restaurant and the little bar opposite have remained open.

Looks like some actual progress at last. This afternoon a grading machine and several men were relaying the sub-base for the road. The truck in the background was delivering new lamp-posts.  |
