We were there in Albufeira on Wednesday night when they won semi-final. Atmosphere was great. Home now looking at final on tv. We have our Portuguese flag flying here. Wish we were still there as I am sure the place is buzzing 😎 !!

I'm £30 richer. Had them in the pub sweep.
Well done.

well done Portugal, hard game into extra time but proved they can play without the special one when needed. I felt they played better as a team effort without him. Just sayin :-)

Well done Portugal I knew you could it.All the wingers on here need to look into their hearts. Do they love Portugal or not, I know I do maybe its because of my Portuguese heritage my grandmother was Portuguese so there is the connection. I feel more of an affinity with portugal tan maybe others do.Forca Portugal

I think you mean Sam Leitch (BBC Scotland football reporter) who in the 1960's famously said "They'll be dancing in the streets of Raith tonight". The gaff being of course that there is no such place as Raith as Raith Rovers are based in Kirkcaldy. Anyway, well done to Portugal I thought they deserved to win and like several other teams in this tournament they proved that teamwork, togetherness and belief are often more important than superstars

I hate how peopleï compare Frank Zappa to God. I mean, he's cool and great and nice and everything, but he's no Zappa.

Don't think "loving Portugal", or any Country for that matter, and wanting their football team to win are necessarily connected. I love Scotland too but do I ever want their football team (or tennis players) to win?

I agree they played better without Ronaldo. With four players who have or still do play in the English Premier League (five if you count Quaresma's brief spell with Chelsea) they do know how to tough it out, no fancy dans needed last night. And the luck held. If the last minute of normal time shot by Gignac that hit the post had been about 1cm to the right, it would have been game over.
