A nice sunny afternoon on Sunday so I took my permitted exercise period for a walk down to and around the marina. According to my mobile's pedometer I covered a total of 6.4km in 60 minutes. I did stop to take pictures!
There's no much to see by way of visible progress on the marina phase 2 site. Roads and footpaths are being laid, trenches for services are appearing here and there but as yet nothing above ground. Various materiel is being delivered, including what look like park benches but with glass tops. Click on thumbnail to see full size image.            |

Small groups of men were busy working away earlier today. Mostly landscaping type work. The cycle path along the road has been partly marked out in an extremely garish red paint.         |

With lighting for a football ground as well as some newly planted trees in the middle of it. A very extravagant setup for almost no traffic. This thread opened almost ten years ago.

Landscaping continues. There is even now some children's playground equipment installed, which seems rather premature! A very large area of flat paving slabs is being laid down. A lot of fencing has appeared.            |
