Dull and cloudy this morning. Heatwave? Pah! 18º at 0830 local time, max 24º Set to be so for the rest of the week. Woodland areas still closed because of fire risk.

	A cool night here, down to 17º. A nice day ahead, plenty of sunshine, light winds but still only 25º at best. Signs prohibiting access to woodlands etc were being renewed and replaced yesterday.

	Bit cloudy today, 25º, good weather for a bike ride. Most of the woodland bike trails etc still closed off because of the fire risk - reported in local media to be the driest July since 1958. Some areas may be re-opened this weekend.

	Another cloudy start to the day. 19º at 0830am, forecast 24 or 25º. Not quite the summer weather the visitors were expecting, but pleasant enough. Should be much hotter next week.

	Still quite cool here, down to 17º last night. Currently 19º at 0835am, forecast 25º today. Should be hotter next week until Thursday, when heavy rain is expected!

	Still not very warm here, temperature fell to 17º last night and I needed the duvet! Should be a nice day today, a bit windy maybe, maximum 25º. Seems like some of the woodland has been opened up for biking, so off to get some much needed exercise.

	Going to be much warmer today than it has been, 20º at 0825 forecast 29º this afternoon. Almost as hot as Albufeira!

	Cloudy again this morning, forecast is for 27º. Inland, away from the sea breeze, they are expecting 36 - 40º today with everyone nervously looking for smoke in the forests. Several nutters have been arrested this past few days for starting fires deliberately.

	Turned out a reasonable day yesterday but rather windy later. Hotter expected today, 29º on the cards. All woodland and forested areas are closed for the weekend because of extreme fire risk.

	Temperature today expected to hit 29 or 30º. There was a small woodland fire a few miles to the south of here yesterday. Wind took the smoke away from town and no adverse effect on the whole. 	Sunny and warm this morning, but very windy. High today of 30 or 31º. Everywhere still on high vigilance for woodland fires. Access to many areas remains closed.

	It was so windy at times yesterday that the very fine sand off the beach was being whipped up into little sandstorms. Must do wonders for the stuff inside people's houses. Temperature hit 34º yesterday, expecting a similar situation today. All woodlands, bike trails, picnic areas etc remain closed, officially anyway. There does not seem to be any actual enforcement.
