I need to find suitable accomodation for this September for myself ,my husband and disabled mother-in law in the Vale do Forte area or nearby. My mother-in-law uses a wheelchair but can support her weight and take a few steps. Can anyone make any suggestions for either hotels or self catering accomodation ideally on the flat near this area?

I will be visiting the area next week so would be able to follow up any ideas. Thanks in advance.

The Forte do Vale hotel may be suitable. It is fairly new and should conform to present day accessibility requirements.

You must be aware that Forte do Vale is top of a hill around the `vale` which is Ruas Dunfermline and Torga mainly ... downhill from there. If you want a hotel significantly `on
the flat` ... you should look more to main shopping area ... with taxis, buses, etc ..
