Tonbridge, Kent - poured down all morning, lightened up a bit over lunchtime now as I write (410pm) dark clouds are building up again from the south. More rain forecast for the next few days. The Medway is a raging torrent.
Back to Albufeira tomorrow morning! |

Left Tonbridge yesterday 8am in torrential rain. My host has moved his car from the basement car park as he lives 20 yards from the Medway - at the moment that is!
Local flooding reported in Tonbridge bit this is just the rain falling on car parks etc and having nowhere to go but basements and cellars. Gatwick - Lisbon - Faro on TAP (not able to get to Gatwick for 5am checkin and dawn direct flight) took off in even more torrential rain, raining all theway down, raining at Lisbon, raining on arrival Faro. Have we done something to upset the weather god? |

Can't quite believe the weather here in the North West of England this week!! It's been really nice up to now, though I must admit, yesterday was a little bit colder than the previous few days. It's almost spring like (by british standards anyway!!). What I'm really stunned about is, I've been off work all week, trying to use up some holidays before the end of March. The weather is normally b****y awful when I get a chance to potter about for a few days, maybe t's a conspiricy to get me to do all of the jobs that I've been putting off for ages? Not this time though, I've been out and about without getting wet - I'm stunned!!

Another nice day, it has been quite plesant over the last few weeks apart from the last couple of days when it's been on the chilly side. Mustn't grumble though.

weve seen the weather forecast for the algarve for the next week,it looks horrible,i think weve got the weather at the moment here in north kent, weve had great sunshine allday in fact if you close your eyes its just like being back in albufeira(without the temperature),so hard luck those out there at the moment.
we'll be thinking of you all when we're out there in 2 weeks time.(when you're all back in cold old uk!.)

Was cutting my nails at the front door last night. So cold I could only manage two before going back in to get warm. Brother's red car looked bright white!!!! Still freezing cold this morning. Heard on radio it was down to about -7 degrees

A howling gale and freezing cold driving rain!! Sounds like someone is throwing something like frozen peas at my window. Ah well, I'll just have a look at some of cubsur's summery piccies to tide me over. Visited the Lake District the other weekend, when I moaned about the heavy rain there, a local chap quite rightly pointed out that it isn't sunshine that keeps the famous lakes topped up!! What can you say to a chap who's right?
