Newcastle Central Station is well known for being baltic even on a summers day so hope you have your thermals on! If you are going anywhere near the coast (Tynemouth, Whitley Bay etc) the wind chill factor will make it seem about 3c. Peter is just back from a weekend visiting his kids and grandkids and he said he never got warm! Enjoy your trip, if you need anything translated just ask ;-)

Very cold, only 5º here in Newcastle at 0745am. The day ahead should be mostly sunny, but there is a chance of showers this afternoon. Maximum temperature 12º. Yesterday wasn't too bad but the ground was too wet to play cricket after Thursday's torrential rain.

Managed a full day's play in the cricket yesterday. It was cold, 11º max, but thankfully not windy. Today it's 6º at 0730am, overcast and a light wind. Forecast is for 12º maximum but no rain.

Last day in Newcastle and it looks like there might be a little bit of sun! It's certainly a bit brighter this morning and the forecast says it might be 'sunny intervals' with only a small chance of rain. Still cold though, 9º at 0730 rising to perhaps 13º this afternoon.

Last morning in Newcastle where it is currently 6º, a bit cloudy but sun peeping through. Forecast says it might be 15º this afternoon, by which time I hope to be on a aeroplane heading for Faro.

Tonbridge, Kent. Dry and cold. Temperature fell to 5º in the early hours. Sun´s out now and it´s 8º at just before 0800. Expecting 15º later. Similar tomorrow but going to be even colder over the weekend.

It was quite windy at times yesterday, making the 15º feel much colder. Today is expected to be even colder, 13º maximum, with a chance of some showers this afternoon. Proper holdiay weekend and cricket weather.

Not nice at all in Sussex by the sea. Been raining and blowing since the early hours. Temperature at 0745 is 9º. Rain might ease off later this morning but staying windy and cold, maximum 12º. Reminds me of one reason I moved to warmer climes!
