   Well the rain stayed away yesterday and none is expected today. Temperature 11º at 0735am, forecast high of 16º with quite likely a lot of cloud later. Icy winds heading our way from tomorrow for the week, down to 7º at night, maximum 14 or 15º, with light showers possible at any time. Ideal cricket weather!

	I was rudely awoken at dawn by rain lashing against the window! It's been raining most of the night by the look of it, but the sky is just starting to brighten up. Currently 11º (0800hrs) forecast 15 at best with occasional showers. Proper cricket weather. With the outfield likely to be very wet, prospects of play must be fairly slim.

	Brrrr! Should have brought me gloves, scarf and hat with furry ears! Warm it is not. Yesterday was a better day though than I expected. Cricket started a bit late and finished a bit early but we had 61 overs in the day with no interruptions. And got 9 Somerset wickets, which was most welcome. Temperature here in Canterbury at 0745am is 8ºC, a few clouds and a light wind. Expecting 15º max today, lots of cloud, a bit of sun, maybe the odd shower or two.

	Yesterday turned out as predicted but colder! Almost a full day's play at the cricket. Today has dawned bright, a bit of a breeze and 8º at 0745am. It will be dry but cold here, 12 - 14º.

	Good day yesterday, no rain and a very successful outcome at the cricket with a day to spare. So a free day today, looks like it's going to be a sunny day and 15º so off the seaside I think.

	Leaving Canterbury today, where it has been cold overnight (6º) but where a nice day and perhaps 17º is promised. Heavy rain though coming from early evening. Similar in Eastbourrne, to where I am headed for the weekend.

	A wild, wet and windy night here in Eastbourne, my host's garden furniture is all over the place this morning. Much better day forecast for today, could be 18 even 19º this afternoon! Different tomorrow, thunderstorms expected.
