Tonbridge, cool and cloudy this morning. Rain is on the way. Has to be, as it's Bank Holiday Monday! Maximum today 17º. I am off to the Isle of Wight later, my first ever visit.

Ryde, IOW. Windy and 9º, expecting rain this afternoon high 14º. Was fairly nice yesterday afternoon walking out near Ventnor. The southern part of the island does have a better climate!

It did turn out to be fairly pleasant by around 5pm yesterday. A street party was in full swing across the harbour. This morning it is 12º and cloudy, rain forecast for this afternoon. I return to sunnier climes tomorrow.

A thunderstorm livened up yesterday morning, delayed the start of the cricket for 45 minutes. Today expecting another sunny day, not quite so warm though with maximum of 24º this afternoon.

Another day of unbroken sunshine here in Canterbury yesterday and more to come today. Temperatures are though slowly falling. It was 14º in the early hours, maximum today only 22º.
