Cubser, thank you so much for keeping our spirits up with these lovely pictures and also the pictures of Albufeira on the other threads. When we cannot be there in person, it is lovely to have these reminders of this place that is close to our hearts. When it is safe to do so, we will return, until then, please keep us happy with these pics.

Beaches here are not closed unlike elsewhere. What Albufeira council have done is to close the parking areas at places like Galé and the the other out of town beaches. People will not walk to them, so that's a restriction easily imposed. There are dozens of ways onto the town beach so I think it's not practicable to close it. But it's easily watched over, so any gatherings will be dispersed by the police.

Word has it they are using drones for surveillance, although I have yet to see any.

I have to be in town later. If there's anything interesting I will take a picture or two. But with low grey clouds and a threat of rain, I doubt many people will be about anyway.
