I saw mention of this recently but forget where. On my little outing this afternoon I saw and heard some landowners busy clearing away as required, but elsewhere grass is several feet high still. This is in Páteo. The deadline or scrub clearance is this year May 31st. Directly opposite is this very large field of tall grass. |

I don't think land clearing applies to grass which grows back quickly unless nuked. Small bushes etc are what they want clearing as once cleared these do not grow back so fast

Maybe grass is exempt, but an acre of dry grass on fire can lead to worse as we know. Anyway, there is little chance of any fire problem over the next few days!
