Does anyone know whether the EES system is now being used at Faro airport ? It was supposed to start in October but was delayed

I flew in this afternoon, from Manchester. Shortly before landing the Captain announced everyone should be aware/prepared for the new system to be active. The flight was full.
I did not see anything however as I'm a user of the 'Disabled' Travel route. Nothing new that way, just the usual copper perusing my passport. There are a lot of new machines dotted around the airport but did'nt seem to be in use. Whatever actually happened, there werent any huge queues in sight.  |
