Hi all for those that didn't know rex has sadly passed away over the weekend such a lovely interesting guy , couldn't hold a tune tho 😆 thoughts are with his family .

Indeed sad to hear this, a character for sure, and how brave, as you say couldn't hold a tune or note but still persisted. Condolonces to family and friends, RIP Rex.

Very sad, great character, always had a beer or two with him when I was over. RIP to an old rocker.

Very sad. Rex was a very interesting man. Many a great afternoon spent chewing the fat with him. Yep, he couldn't sing the best these days but in days gone by he was a member of show bands touring the UK. I always glance over at his little caravan near the marina when going past and think how the hell could anyone live like that, but he did, and, he never complained about it. Rest easy old chap.

If anyone knows anything about his family in the UK please contact jonhny hooper,the British consulate are trying to trace rex's family in the UK, as he died alone in albufeira ... Johnny hooper has also put up a Facebook status too
