   If I am reading correctly the note I have from my supplier, electricity prices are soon going to increase by around 10%.

I shall have to sit in the dark.

Seriously, this will have a big impact on the cost of everything. Some of Portugal's power stations are gas fired, producing about a quarter of the country's power, The wholesale price of natural gas as we know is massively increased because of the war and sanctions against Russia.  Hydro electric power production is down because of the drought. They are even talking abut bringing a couple of the coal fired power stations back on line.
