You are considered fully vaccinated if you have had 2 doses of the vaccine up to 270 days , after you will most likely require a test . Children 11 and under do not need a test or show proof of vaccination or recovery

Well it's been an absence of two and a half years, but we're coming back to the Algarve in 10 days time. I've lost count of how many times we've been but we still love it.
It will be very interesting to see what's changed. |

Still must wear a mask in a bus or taxi though. On my bus home earlier I saw two obviously tourist couples left standing at the stop because they didn't know. No mask, no ride. I shall be carrying every piece of paper with me when off to UK next week. Just in case.

We arrived on time yesterday on a full flight from Newcastle. Vaccination certificates carefully scrutinised on check in but not asked for at Faro. UK passengers routed to specific desks and passport stamped for the first time in years. Masks not worn on the aircraft nor in the terminal.
Drove a brand new hire car to a supermarket on the way to Praia da Luz for a few days, and masks were in evidence inside. |

Thanks Tom. No rain so far in Praia da Luz and non shown on the super accurate BBC Weather app for the foreseeable future! Coming to the Vale de Parra area in about a week so I'll bring more sun. |

We're heading over next week. I noticed over the weekend that Portugal have scrapped the need for vaccination certificates.
Are masks still required on the plane and public transport or has that now been scrapped too? |

Can't answer about public transport but masks weren't required on the planes nor in the airports, restaurants etc during our recent stay which ended just over a week ago.

Masks are still required here in buses, taxis, airport transfers, Uber, trains etc and until further notice. You cannot be on a bus for ten minutes without being a danger to pubic health if unmasked. Sitting in a bar for 3 hours is fine, you cannot catch anything.

Who did you fly with? Easyjet's website says they're required. |

Easyjet have not updated their information. Two Saturday ago we were told at the airport that wearing masks was optional when flying Gatwick to Faro.
