Much brighter than it was yesterday but windier as well. Temperature at 0910am is 20º, some scattered cloud. Expecting a high of 24 or 25 today.

Last morning in Canterbury where it is again bright and sunny, 19º at 0850am. Expecting 24ºC later, maybe some clouds. Weekend and Monday are  forecast to be extremely hot.

Now in Eastbourne, sunshine capital of the south. A sunny morning indeed a, few high clouds ahd 19º at 0800, just a light wind. Expecting a high today of only 25º, so all talk of heatwave here is off until tomorrow.

Another sunny day in Eastbourne and not too hot. 19º at 0845hrs, light wind, not a cloud in the sky. Expected high today 27º, so the bars and restaurants down at tbe marina wil be packed no doubt!

Last morning in Inglaterra. Currently 20º in Eastbourne at 0745am, fairly cloudy and just a little wind. It will gradually get hotter with a high of 33º expected around tea-time this afternoon.

Much of the country will be shutting down later today and all day tomorrow because 33º is too hot for things to function. Won't last, a normal English summer returns on Wednesday.

Off to Lille, France, where 40º is forecast for tomorrow, but then 25º and rain for Wednesday!

Ah well, heatwave over here in Lille. Dull, cloudy and raining fairly hard, 20º and won't be more than 26º today. Anyway, I am off to Bordeaux later today where it is dull, cloudy and possibly raining!

Rather cloudy and windy this morning in Bordeaux. 21º at 0925am, won't be more than 26º today, so better for being out and doing things. It did become rather humid yesterday.

Looks like being a nice day by the seaside in France today, 23º at 1000am forecast 31º. It is a bit windy though. I shall make the most of it, rainy days and much lower temperatures are expected for most of the rest of the week!

It became very hot and humid yesterday, but today much cooler and a lot of cloud. Unlikely to be more than 25º with showers possible this afternoon.

All the woodland bike trails, picnic areas and many car parks are closed because of the extreme fire risk. None around here yet.
