No response yet. There is no information on the English language version of the FC Seoul website and I cannot read Korean so I do not know where to start looking.

I found a German news item which confirms Thursday's match.

Translated it reads "As the HSV said on Friday, the (team) will test in Portugal on January 16 against the South Korean club FC Seoul (3pm) in Albufeira."

Not for me on Saturday, crowded day already planned at Portimonense U23 v Feirense U23, Guia v Imortal and Campinense v Sambrazense...…  btw the Brentford site has it as venue TBC, kickoff noon[?].

Stumbled across a game for the Bees tomorrow tho. They are going up against Ferreiras at Est Nora, kickoff 8.15pm. 

The site lists thisr seasons opponents from far and wide [plus Scotland,.... Aberdeen, Celtic plus Hibs and Rangers twice each]. Includes Liefering [Ausa], FC Seoul [Kor], Bordeaux [Fra], Beijing Renha [Chi], Midtjylland [Den], Albacete [Spa], Cartagena [Spa] and Grasshoppers Zurick [Swi].

Last night, Brentford B 3 Ferreiras 0. Good workout and a comfortable win by the young Bs team. They comprised 16 to 19 year olds, against the locals who fielded several first teamers plus unknowns who I took to be reserves.
Referee awarded three penalties to Bs, all of which looked fair enough to me. The first was well saved but the others went in. A well judged chest control and volley netted the third.
In truth, with the missed pen and many other chances spurned it could have been seven or eight. Two first half chances one-on-one for Ferreiras were saved well.

I enquired about the Astana game on Saturday. A coach told me it was at Ferreiras again but didn't know the time! Their website says noon.

Astana 4 Brentford B 2 at Ferreiras on Saturday. The Kazhakstan team are over for the Atlantic Cup [which starts on Friday]. They turned out a senior side against the youthful Bs who would have gained from the experience.

Last minute info on friendly games. For anyone happy to trundle east out to Vila Real San Antonio, Frankfurt Womens team have arranged two matches at the well appointed Estadio Desportivo. ……  TODAY, 4pm, Frankfurt v Huelva [from just over the border in Spain].
…..   Friday 31st, also at 4pm, Frankfurt v Wolfsburg.

Friday sees the Atlantic Cup start with a double-header at Estadio Algarve …….. 4pm, Brondby [DEN] v Norrkoping [SWE] and 8pm, Copenhagen [DEN] v aforesaid Astana [KHZ].

I have noticed that some of the times of the Atlantic Cup matches have been changed, notably the two at Ferreiras next Friday, 7th February.

Do check before travelling.

Atlantic cup game on tv ... watched Copenhagen - Astana 1st half 1-0 ..  on VIP ... the Danish side`s next game is on as well ..

Good day for the Danes in the Atlantic Cup.
Copenhagen comfortably held on to the one goal lead until the end. Astana weren't good enough to get very near to equalising at all. Oddly, the early goal [3mins] came after Copenhagen kicked off and passed the ball around without Astana touching the ball prior to it rolling into their net.
Earlier it was Brondby 2-0 Norrkoping. A goal in each half settled it. Another quite comfortable runout, tho the Swedes put a lot of effort in at least.

One game tomorrow, and the Portuguese' last minute change trick' is in evidence. No longer at Parchal…… its 1pm at ALBUFEIRA, Slavia Prague v Aarhus, the third Danish crew.

Slightly more sneaky trick, people attending should know that the games are E5 in this year. Not been announced at all, and never before has a fee been levied.

Out of interest I asked the gate-wallah how many paid in. This afternoon there were 18 and tonight, granted 10 minutes before kickoff, there were 13. A family of four crowded in just after kickoff to swell the takings. Typically another few crept in for nothing later.

Attendances throughout this Cup will not get much higher, so I'm not sure whether I feel humiliated, embarrassed or something else unwholesome at having to pay.

Ho hum …… on to the next.....
