So im in albufeira from the 27th aug-7sept and my mate was supposed to be coming too, but now he is unable to get the time off work, so im in a situation of finding a replacement which is proving difficult as everyone saying its too short notice for them, or the alternative is to go alone, i dunno what too do :(

If all else fails,go alone. Not hard to strike up a conversation in a bar.Go to One For The Road,& say Hi,few friendly faces in there, many other bars will be similar.Enjoy,it is a great place.

I'd go alone. Albufeira is a very friendly place and as Tiganut says you'll meet and chat to many people.

I spent 5 weeks on my own for the most part, no problem making friends in places like One for the Road, Geordie Viking, Sherrys etc, you will always get talking to someone n places like these. Perry's quiz in One for the Road, Tuesdays and Saturdays is another good place to meet people.

You will be fine I go over to albufeira 5 times a year myself and don't spend much time not talking to someone.
