Expecting 30 - 32º here today along the coast, but inland it's likely to be even up to 40º. Dire warnings in the news about the effects of heat, also saying that the first six months of this year in France were the hottest since dinosaurs walked the earth.

Risk of thunderstorms tonight.

It was quite misty at times yesterday here as well and not too hot. Inland, not 50 miles from where I am, one place clocked up 41.6º and there were temperatures of 40º+ in many regional locations away from the coast. There is a red alert for vulnerable people to stay indoors issued for the weekend. And that's on top of the ever growing list of things one should not do because of the virus. Many individual towns are making mask wearing compulsory at all times outside the home.

Just coming up to 9am and it is raining! Not hard, but it is wet stuff for sure. Looks set for  an hour or so.

Windy and quite cloudy this morning. Expecting 30º this afternoon then a possibility of thunderstorms during the night again.

Very stormy night. Rain came bucketing down just as the bar was empyting after the PSG v Atalanta game. Some would have got very wet. Much thunder and lightning later in the night. These storms are not unusual here at this time of year. Even as I write dark clouds are gathering.

Nasty day yesterday here. It rained fairly hard almost all day until early evening. Better this morning, so far.

Nice day yesterday, but this morning 21º, overcast with light rain. Thunderstorms likely this evening and tonight they say.

Twenty minutes later and it's now raining hard.

Rained on and off yesterday morning, OK afternoon and evening then there was a fairly intense thunderstorm for about an hour at midnight. Today it's windy, cloudy and not expecting above 23º. Possible rain this afternoon they say.

Very wet yesterday afternoon. Another cool and rainy day is expected here, 22 or 23º at best. Happy campers they are not.

I hope it's nicer in Albufeira! Cool and windy this morning in France, rain possible later. 24º at best. Where is summer?

Yesterday was a better day than expected, but it brought out swarms of biting insects. Scratch, scratch.

Grey and cloudy this morning, rain on the way. Should be sunny and 28º this afternoon.

Cloudy at the moment but a nice day expected and 29º this afternoon on the coast. Much hotter inland, might be 35 - 37º in some areas.

Turned out cloudy almost all day yesterday with a few spots of rain. Today will be my last full day at the seaside, where once again it is cloudy and grey, 23º forecast with showers later. Looks a lot better in Albufeira if rather windy at times. Very humid as well, according to the IPMA website.

(The wettest place in Portugal yesterday was the rather inappropriately named Vilar Seco up north, which had 29mm or 1.14" during the day. That's a lot.)
