It's calmer now after a windy night. Temperature at 0920am is 26.2º. Expecting a high today of around 33º as yesterday, it could be a bit hotter away from the coast. It will be windy again this afternoon. It will be warmer tonight than it has been, 24 or 25º.

This week will have daytime temperature in the 31 - 33º range, it will be windy at times. Night-times ought to be pleasant at around 20 - 22º

It was a warm night, still 27º at midnight.  This morning it is slightly hazy looking out to sea, there is a slight wind and temperature at 0825am is 26.5º.

Forecast for today is 32 or 33º, for a time the wind will come from across the sea and could be fairly strong this afternoon and this evening. Tonight will be cooler again, around 20º.

Tomorrow is expected to be quite windy all day and around 32º and hot, dry, weather for the rest of the week. The wind will be mostly from the north, so it won't be too hot or humid at night.

A pleasantly cool night and this morning it's not as warm as yesterday. Temperature at 0850am is 23.5º, it is a little windy. It will be windy all day today, particularly in the late afternoon. Top temperature along the coast will be 32 or 33º, it will be perhaps a little warmer inland. Wind is from the north or north west.

Tonight again will be fairly cool, could be as low as 18 or 19º inland, 21 - 22º along the coast.

Little if any change is forecast for the next ten days.

It might not be quite so hot as it was yesterday. The wind is more from the south. Yesterday at 8pm it was still 32º.

Temperature today at 0930am is 25.9º, bright sunshine and a light wind. High today is expected to to be 31º, it will not be as windy as it has been. It will be a warmer night, no lower than 24 or 25º. Tomorrow could be fairly cloudy, especially in the morning, high of 30º. Warmer again on Friday with a very hot weekend on the way, could be 37º.

It's quite cloudy here this morning and more humid than of late.

Temperature at 0855am is 25.9º, there is a light wind from the south. it will stay cloudy until after lunchtime. That will keep the sun off and the maximum temperature might be only 28º or 29º! Tonight the wind will have shifted round to come from the north, it will be quite cool at about 20º.

Tomorrow will be a little bit warmer then over the weekend it's back to 33º+.

That's my last on the spot report for a while. I am managing to escape! Don't forget you can get the local ten day forecast in English at http://www.ipma.pt/en/otempo/prev.localidade.hora/#Faro&Albufeira

in Toms absence, it’s a very nice day. Light breeze and full sun all day, it doesn’t mention the bit of cloud we currently have but it’s light and thin and I figure it will soon burn off. A high forecast of 33 degrees for later this afternoon.
Tom was right about the wind direction yesterday l it did swing round and for the first time in ages the planes were going into Faro from this side, ie. from the west.
This all pretty set fair for next few days.

Heck! 39 degrees forecast for this afternoon. Then back to 32, 33 for the rest of week.
It doesn’t look like a 39 day at the mo, it’s very pleasant with a light breeze and a few clouds and plenty of sun.
So whatever temp we do reach it’s going to be another lovely day.
Just, if your out and about watch that sun, don’t get fried. Scorchio!

Well, we didn’t hit 39 yesterday, we topped out here at 37.8, which was enough, and late afternoon the breeze got up. Through the night it was very windy, back to a breeze now.
36 forecast for later and currently 30. Clear skies, no cloud.
Forecast for rest of week is only for low 30’s!😂!
Pretty much typical August weather for the Algarve.

Where I am in the south west of France it is 24º, windy and tomorrow a chance of showers.

Aren’t mine good enough Tom? 😉
For second day running, yesterday we didn’t hit IPMA’s forecast which is unusual as they are normally pretty accurate, we made 33.8 against there forecast 36.

Today is nice and bright, full sun, little cloud but is very windy which the forecast says is in for the day which is why I’m surprised they are still reporting 34 for later. Watch the wind it will make it feel cooler and that’s when people get burned. Have a nice day, it’s certainly conducive to that.

My posts in this topic are automatically copied to the www.albufeira.com weather page, which is why I put up the link for the ten day forecast during my absences. Anyone please feel free to comment on the weather for readers here.

Faro airport clocked up 35.6º yesterday (3rd August) and was the second hotttest place on the mainland after Elvas. It must also have been quite windy yesterday. A gust of 97.2kph  (60mph) was recorded on the Foia.

Yes, windy all day yesterday, it has dropped off to an intermittent breeze at the moment.
It is, and will be cooler topping out at 31 degrees, though how you have “cooler” and “31 degrees” in the same sentence I’m not so sure!
Full sun already, a bit of thin, hazy, high cloud that I’m sure will burn off. A nice day in prospect.
