It was rather warm out there today in the sun and my thermometer says it is 22C in the shade as I write at 530pm. Forecast is good for the next few days. Is summer here?

Well here in North East Blighty we had thunder, lightening and hail stones at 1pm, by 6pm when I left work it was warm and sunny, my cardi was on, it was off, it was on it was off..................................... I guess summer is definately here!!

Today (1130am) in Albufeira is a bit cloudy but quite warm at 20C. There was a slight chance of rain forecast earlier and it is a bit windy (around 30km/hour) but it will stay dry by the looks of it.

Been to Chester Zoo today with my daughter in law and 13 month old grandson. Cloudy start with a bit of a breeze, but, warmed up nicely and the sun came through!! Quite pleasant for a change. The men folk are all in Magaluf for a stag do. Hope it's thundery for them -ha ha ha! They tried to talk the 'stag' into going to Albufeira for the 'do', some people have no taste do they - my own nephew included!!

Looks nice and bright today, currently (0845) 17C but a very large amount of rain in the offing and forecast for showers by Thursday.

I fly over tomorrow and it is not looking good for me.
Weather forecast per www.weather.co.uk is awful for the next 4-5 days, whereas in Glasgow the forcast for the same period is wonderful.
It will actually be warmer in Glasgow than in Albufeira!!
I guess that is the chance you take when you come to Portugal for a week in May.
Can only pray that the forecast is nonsense but with my luck I know what will happen.

Cubsur dont say its gonna rain please
 , it'll spoil all the painting I did the other week when I was over. Accuweather did show some slight rain from Monday the 12th May, but now it seems to have vanished off the forecast, obviously you know something we dont.

Indeed, Thursday's forecast rain has vanished from the local Met Office forecast. Shows how changeable it is. It was bright hot sun this morning, then it clouded over for a couple of hours then by 330pm the sun was back.

Oh well, so long as it is warm and sunny next Thursday (15th) for a few days I'll be happy. One day by the pool and a couple of nights by the bar will do me n Pete the world of good!!

Thank you Jayjan, when are you next over? We may be back late october. Not able to get over in the summer (pre booked a cruise yonks ago, long before we bought over there). Would love to go to the quiz you all go to some time, sounds like a regular forum meeting place! C U there sometime xx
