Another nice sunny day ahead after a fairly cold night. Temperature at 0745am is 14.9º, wind is light with just a few clouds and a bit of mist out to sea. It will be windier later and there could be some cloud, maximum temperature 19 o4 20º. The wind is from the north, so it will be a cold night again, down to 10 or 11º. The weekend looks good, daytime 21 or22º, not too windy and dry. Nights still cold though at 10 - 12º. Same for Monday and Tuesday then a change in the weather is on the cards for the middle of the week with a good chance of rain.

Cloudy here this morning. It is thin cloud though and the sun is peeping through the gaps. Temperature at 0805am is 14.1º, wind is moderate and steady from the north. it will be cloudy all day and become windier during the afternoon. Maximum temperature 20 or 21º, no rain expected. With the wind from the north, it will be cold again tonight, down to 10 or 11º and feeling colder than that in the wind.

Tomorrow will be sunnier and less windy for the most part, top temperature around 22º, 11 - 13º at night. Next week will not see much change except that there will be a small chance of showers Thursday and Friday.

And another nice day, not too windy, temperature at 1030am is 14.9º, expecting 20 or 21º later. It won't be too cold tonight, down to 12 or 13º. It looks like a fairly similar weather situation will apply all week. Daytimes in the low 20's, night- times 11 - 13º, a bit windy at times and there will be clouds across the sun. Rain is unlikely they say!

By the way did the earth move for you at 03.35 on Friday morning?

Felt nothing in Pateo, but was woken at 3.35am-ish by what sounded like the reverse thrust of a 747 landing!!!

The earthquake was a three second rumble by most people's accounts, mine included. The epicentre was just south of Branqueira, at a depth of 27km.

Another nice morning here, temperature at 0755 is 13.9º, wind is light, sky is blue. Expecting 20 - 21º later and it won't be too windy until the evening. Tonight won't be too cold, 13 or 14º at worst but the wind will make it feel colder.

This general weather situation looks set for the next few days. It should be warmer towards the end of the week and over the weekend.

Good weather continues. Temperature at 0730 is 13.7º, wind moderate with some very high cloud. It will be a bit cloudy later but quite warm at 22 perhaps 23º. It will become fairly windy this evening and tonight, temperaature will fall to around 15º by midnight.

The forecasts indicate little if any change over the next week or so, except that it will be warmer and  warmer as the days go by, reaching maybe 26º next Tuesday.

That's my last on the spot report for a while. I go to colder climes. You can see the local situation and forecast in English at https://www.ipma.pt/en/otempo/prev.localidade.hora/#Faro&Albufeira

Good afternoon all, well if your like me and are missing the daily report from Cubsur I will give you an update. Firstly it's not like our man not to give us his forwarding address. I hope he hasnt decided to emigrate!! Opened the curtains this morning to see some sea horses on the Atlantic because there is and was a we bit of a wind but it's a pleasant wind. Not telling where I am. As our man would say, it's a good washing and drying day. Searched high and low and couldn't find anything to wash. Dashed annoyed. The temperature was 18c at 9.00. Since his last report the temperature has reached 24c and has been no lower than 10c on a couple of evenings. This fine weather looks to be with us for at least a week and then for me unfortunately it will be back to reading the main man's reports. You'll be pleased to hear that this is my one and only report cause I cany match the "man". Cubsur, Haste ye back
