Goodness. What a strange day! In last half hour it’s totaly clouded over, wind has got up and temperature tumbled to 22!
Quite a turn around, and not for the better.

Where did this come from, it wasn’t forecast?
Grey, miserable, mist, cloud and the rain has just stopped!
It is brightening and isn’t cold, 21 at mo and 27 forecast. Looking out to sea isn’t pretty, still grey and misty, looking in land is brighter though so what will it do? Let’s hope it burns off and we get some reasonable weather, at the moment though, yuk!
What a strange few weeks of weather we have had, not just variable but one extreme to another!

Well every man and his dog had the same thought as us, we went to the old town. I was okay though, I averted my eyes when we went past a bar so didn’t see the drugs being sold, I kept looking at the ground so I didn’t see drugs being openly taken... sorry, it’s just that ludicrous I couldn’t help it 😂😂😂
Anyway, this was lunch time today, mild until you got to beach where the sea mist made it very damp and much cooler.

And now, mid afternoon, much improved. All the clag has burnt off, we have blue skies and sunshine, some high whispy cloud and the temperature is climbing, 25.5 at mo so I suspect we may still beat the forecast 27. This is more like it but I say again, how variable has this weather been these past few weeks?

Yes, 66% chance of rain tomorrow but today, all is good. Currently 20 degrees, 27 forecast, no breeze, full sun, bring it on.
But this very changeable weather, based on tomorrows forecast, seems to be sticking with us.

There's a significant heatwave forecast for parts of Europe later this week with temperatures potentially reaching 44 degrees. Is the Algarve affected by this or is it too far West?

No Col. According to Algarve News, the heat wave, 40 degrees plus as you say, starts in Spain and moves North, North/East, it doesn’t touch Portugal.
Same article says showers to continue here until mid week and it will warm up thereafter. That said, the high 20’s, and more, that we have had has been more than warm enough!
Today, so far is just perfect.

Indeed a very nice morning back here in Albufeira! Temperture at 1045am is a very pleasant 24.3º, was sunny earlier but now clouding over. No rain is expected today, max temperature around 27º. Pleasant night ahead, 18 or 19 along the coast, a bit cooler inland.

A fair chance of some rain tomorrow as a frontal system passes over, might be only 25º.

Hotter weather returns Thursday, 28º forecast. Hotter still on Friday and over the weekend, with 31 or 32 likely. Nights will be warmer too, 20º and more along the coast.

It was indeed very foggy a couple of hours ago, but is brightening up now. There is still a lot  of cloud with light rain possible later. Temperature here in Páteo at 0925 is 22.1º, maximum today will be 24 or 25. OK tonight, 18 or 19 along the coast, 16 or 17 inland.

Once this bit of weather passes over we will be back to hot and sunny days with daytime temperatures reaching 30 or 31 by the weekend. Night-times along the coast will be around 20º so you can put away the blankets at the Arte Bar! Zero chance of rain after today.

Pleasant night tonight, 18 or 19 along thecoast, maybe a touch cooler inland. The next few days will see the temperature rise to 29 then 30 or 31 during the day.

Hot and sunny, very little wind. 27.1º at 1055am expecting to reach 30º this afternoon.

A warm night coming, around 20 or 21 along the coast.

Same for the weekend in fact little change is coming for the next several days, 28 - 30 daytime, 19 - 21 at night and it's not going to rain.
