Was having lunch in the square yesterday, sat in a T shirt under sunny skies, back in blighty today watching the snow, heating on full blast, wrapped up in a thick jumper, roll on April !!

Jeez cubsur and fellow Albufeira residents, sounds really bad, my only experience was the Oct '06 storms, cubsars reports seem to mirror that...

We had tons of wood washed up on the beach at Ramsgate, checked the invoice address, seems like it was originally bound for some bloke called Noah, postal address 8200-Albufeira.   Wink   Smile   Tongue

No problem with my apartment with regard to leaks, all very dry and snug. Was worried though that the satellite dish was going to disappear over into Ocean Ville during the night but it held on.

A combination of high tides and surface water draining from inland has wreaked havoc with the beach at Salema here : http://www.portugal-webcams.com/Salema/webcam-salema-mega.jpg

It's just started belting down with rain again. I already have about 1/2 inch of water on my enclosed balcony but that's not going to cause any problem.

Out the back the drain is blocked with leaves blown from the trees and that will cause a problem as I might have to go outside and clear it to stop water coming in through the  terrace door.

My friends apartment at Pateo Vilage has sprung a leak and they have to move out. Anyone else having weather related problems?

Well, what a pleasant night that was! The wind and rain finally eased off around 4am, so it was a late night.

1000am and it's fairly bright outside but a large mass of cloud is out there to the south-west. That's going to bring more rain today although it won't be as prolonged and heavy as last night.

It's still very windy but not squally and gusty.

Current temperature is 14C/57F and it won't get much warmer.

Have  a nice day.

No point in trying to sleep so I am off to catch up with the days sports news.

Yes, I just looked at the seven day forecast and it's showing rain every day, including thunderstorms, as Cubser says, later in the week.
If it's right that'll take it to 38 days leaving only 3 more for the rest of the year, I wished!

Be ready to start complaining - we are already 31 days into the year , so there must be only ten more days of rain for 2009.

It has been raining most of the night but is clear now. Isolated showers around for this morning but as the day goes on it gets worse and tomorrow the forecast is black clouds and those little yellow flashes meaning storms and lightning and stuff.

Current temperature (0730) is 8C/47F rising to maybe 15C/60F but it won't seem anything like that with the clouds and rain around.

Wind from the south at the moment but moving around to the west bringing the rain with it over the next 24 - 36 hours.

All the forecasts are saying that next week will be pretty wet and gloomy, with just a chance of a day of respite around next Wednesday.

So if you are coming out over the next few days bring your rain hats.

If the Algarve gets 320 days of sunshine a year, and as all the books say so, it must be true - (oh yeah!!) - then you must be in for a treat really soon! If you don't get better weather soon, I'm complaining to trading standardsDisapprove
