This morning in sunny Albufeira it is 23C and rising. Forecast high 27C/81F, light wind from the south-east and not a speck of rain on the radar.

According to the forecast it will be noticeably cooler over the weekend in the coastal areas, down to 22C, but inland up in the Alentejo etc they are expecting 30+ and a yellow alert has been issued.

Have a nice day.

Hi Cusbur

We were in Albufeira last week, usually a holiday there is a welcome break from hayfever. I couldn't stop sneezing!

By the way, you were right about Residencial Mar A Vista, what a great location!

Back in Blighty, and still sneezing.
Regards
Maura

Wednesday morning at 9 o'clock it was 22C, bright blue skies but a bit windy still. Forecast high 26C and dry but might get a little cloudy later.

Should stay about the same for the next few days.

Today (Tuesday) at 1025 am it's 22C, sunny and a bit of wind from the north-west. Forecast high 25C (77F) and there's not a speck of rain within 200 miles according to the radar.

The wind coming off the land seems to brought hay fever back; certainly I've been sniffing and so have fellow suffers.

Have a nice day.

"Ere, what's goin on?" Algarve has over 320 days of sunshine every year (except during April, May and last october when Av was there!!) I bought my place in the sun on the back of the sunshine record, I think I'll take it to the trade's description coz the weather has been sh*** since I bought!! Meanwhile the weather in the North East of England (traditionally sh***! has been unusually good!) someone's trying to tell me sumthin!

Older, Wiser and Full of hell!

Well that didn't last long, did it! Noon and it is grey and cloudy, blustery winds and noticeable cooler at a mere 22C.

It's 27C in our kitchen and the fridge is working over time. The Lanlord and Landlady of our local local bar were complaining that it was too hot for them last night. If this was happening in the UK, there would be hose pipe bans, water rationing and the Daily Express saying we are all going to die and its the fault of too many Eastern Europeans comming into the country!Wink

Quite right - yesterday evening my Portuguese neighbour said that she was feeling the heat and it that it had definitely become hotter during the early evening than when it was a bit cloudy earlier.

Up early as you can tell and my thermometer tells me it is 19C at 8am. There is a bit of a breeze this morning. Local forecast calls for 27C. There are a lot of showers over the ocean to the south but nothing here.

so that accuweather.com website is usually pretty accurate is it?

also i heard that it gets very windy in the evenings. is this a cold wind or does it still be warm in the evenings?

We left this morning to come back to CooooooooL Ireland as Portugal was very HOT yesterday, it was nice getting off the plane but I am fed up with it already, it is June after all. I heard someone say they had 35 read on the car therm and to top that the breese I look forward to for some cooling was missing.

It rarely gets windy but at these temps you will be glad of any sort of breese, the nights have been warm too all windows open made no difference.

You're right and today it is forecast to be 30C or 86 in old money. My thermometer says it is 25C already and there is the barest hint of  breeze - in all quarters.
