Hi, how easy is it to get a bus to Silves for the day. Are the buses frequent and would a day trip be worthwhile leaving us enough time to have a good look around. Where would we purchase tickets and what would the cost be? Thanks in advance.

Bus service has never been restored to pre pandemic levels, especially at weekends so travel is not all that easy, with only a few buses each day. Here's the current timetable - http://www.algarvebus.info/021.htm Fares are not published on the official website but for cash fare it's around €4,70. At Albufeira bus station you must buy your ticket inside at the ticket counter, the one on the right as you go in. Allow a few minutes for that. There is always someone in the queue who is trying to do something complicated.
