Fairly unpleasant! It's been very windy since before dawn, but is now starting to calm down. A very heavy shower has just passed over town. An even heavier one just missed and is now over Faro. Temperature at 0755 is 20.3º.

More heavy showers are on the way, coming from the south west. It will become very windy again. Maximum temperature, as if it mattered, won't be more than 21 or 22º. The showers will die out by early evening. Tonight it will be fairly cool, around 17 or 18º.

The weekend will be cloudy with the chance of a shower or three, temperatures around 23º.

It is raining! Not hard, but steady rain from dark, low clouds. Temperature at o755am is 21.2º, the wind direction is from the south-west.

It looks like it will be raining for an hour or two yet, then there will be a break but more short, sharp, showers look to be heading this way for later. Things should clear up during the afternoon with maximum temperature 23 or 24º. It will be a fairly warm night, 21 or 22º.

Tomorrow looks like being  both wet and windy almost all day, with more rain likely over the weekend. Temperature won't be too bad though, 22 - 24º in the daytimes.

24.8º here in Albufeira at just after 6pm. It is humid though, the change in weather is on its way. Should be more or less the same tomorrow but Thursday and Friday are likely to be a bit wet.

24º in Newcastle in September!! Positively tropical.

It's cloudy this morning, high and thin cloud which will go by lunchtime. Temperature at 0840am is 22,3º. There is a light wind from the south, across the sea.

The wind will increase during the day. Maximum temperature will be 26 or 27º. Tonight will be cooler than it has been lately, down to perhaps 18º. Tuesday and Wednesday will be cloudy and dry, 25 - 27º. From Thursday it will become cooler with rain highly likely from Thursday until Sunday.

It's quite cloudy this morning and early mist over the sea is just clearing. It is also fairly windy. Temperature at 0940am is 24.4º and it rather humid.

It will stay cloudy, maximum temperature 25 or 26º. The wind will die down during the afternoon. It will be a cool night, 19 or 20º. Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday will also be cloudy at times, temperatures around 26 or 27º in the daytime, 19 or 20 at night.

Cooler weather with a pretty good chance of rain is forecast for Thursday, Friday and Saturday.

25º at 1000am, thin high cloud obscuring the sun. There is a light breeze from the south-east.

That will make for quite a warm day, temperature could reach 31º this afternoon. It will stay cloudy all day and there could be a stronger wind later.  It will be a warm night, no lower than 22 or 23º.

It will be cooler tomorrow, 26º maybe, with quite a strong wind from the south meaning high seas. From Monday the weather will become quite unsettled and cooler still, with even cooler temperature and a strong chance of rain later in the week.

PS if other things weren't bad enough, most of the Algarve is now on maximum alert for fires. All outdoor fires and barbecues are banned during this dry and windy weather.

There is some scattered high cloud this morning and a light wind from the south. Temperature at 0755am is 23.2º.

We are expecting a high today of around 30º. It will be a little cloudy all day with the wind increasing but not too much. Tonight will again be 21 or 22º.

Similar day tomorrow, then it will be cooler from Sunday with a change of wind direction. The forecast is not now giving much chance of any rain before the middle of next week.

It will come as little surprise to you that the first eight months of 2020 have been officially recorded as the hottest in Portugal since modern records began in since 1931. Rainfall over the country in July and August was 45% of 'normal'.

This morning it is fairly pleasant again, blue sky overhead and a little hazy out to sea. Temperature at 0835am is 23.5º, there is a light wind. It is expected to cloud over a bit this afternoon, maximum temperature 28 or 29º. Tonight will be down to 21 or 22º.

Similar weather is expected for Friday and Saturday. It will be cooler from Sunday, but the chance of any rain has reduced.

Another breezy morning, blue sky and 24º at 0910am. The wind will die down later but it could become cloudy. Maximum temperature 29 or 30º.

Tonight will be calm and clear, 21º inland, slightly warmer near the coast.

There will be little change in the weather until Sunday or Monday. The forecast is showing a good chance of some rain around that time.

Nice start to the day, fairly windy though, which it is likely to be all day. Temperature at 0815am is 24.1º, wind is from south east so across the sea, which will keep the temperature down a little.

Top temperature today will be around 28º, it might be a bit cloudy later. It will be a pleasant night, not so windy and around 20º. The next few days won't be much different but looking further ahead the models show a fair chance of cooler weather and perhaps rain on Sunday and Monday.

Sorry but forum wasn't available when I had to be out early this morning. Suffice it to say that at 15,10hrs it is 27.7º, a little windy and nice blue sky.

The rest of the week is going to be similar.
