Those Prestige buildings on Oceano were started around the recession .. and finished after a long delay around 3 years ago. I advised some Americans on the location when they wanted to book .. there was a little sales cabin up near the roundabout which was smashed every which way ...

Here is the streetview from last August .. this turn also on the blue/green giro route ..

Thanks for the link to the paper Tom.  Quite a bit to digest but I have plenty time at the moment.

In São Rafael the W Hotel and Residences are taking shape. Can't say I like the design!" The vast edifice all looks like this.

Finisterra development on the way down towards the marina. Would you shell out the asking price for those available in excess of €750,000 if you had seen how they were built? Being sold by Sothebys.

The new development almost opposite me. All finished and apparently sold. Certainly the 'for sale' signs have gone.

The Albufeira Prime development opposite the town hall is coming along slowly. Asking price? A bargain at €350,000 for a T2.

I still makes me wonder who would be mad enough to invest in any high end property, apartment or shop, with the end of mass tourism fairly nigh. We shall see.

The Finisterra development on the cliff above the fishermen's harbour looks to be substantially complete. One penthouse has been sold for €1.37 MILLION!

I need to get some pictures of Albufeira Prime near the fire station which is also almost finished.

A snip at €435,000 but I bet they won't tell you that it's opposite the fire station and next to a busy road junction.

Handy for McDonald's and the shops though.

And if other recent builds are anything to go by, most of the Shops on ground floor won`t be occupied

Quite likely. Putting shop space on the ground floor is a sop to the local council to make planning permission easier. Plenty of examples I can think of.
