   Hey!

We are a group of friends that are traveling to Algarve in late August. I was wondereing if any of you know of any events going on during that time of the year? Any festivals etc? It does not only have to be party-related.

	The Fishermans festival is early in September, accompanied by Foclore festival and the feast of the local saint Vicente. There will be lots of tables and outlets.. as well as the music stage .. on Fishermans beach square ... religious parade on Sunday, when local worthies carry the statues, around west end, sometimes down to convent at marina. August 20 is Albufeira day .. recognising its charter as a city... fireworks usually, etc .. probably a parade by local groups and the bombeiros (firemen) with loads of vehicles from around the district, usually between the lights and watches roundabout.
