Orada didn't look like that most of Monday and Tuesday - I couldn't even see it out of the window! Much better today though. Nice pix though.

I like the Marina, pity it's so quiet down there. I don't know how the shops and bars down there manage to stay open. It's lovely to sit and have a coffee, worth going during the day, not sure what it's like at night.
Consistently inconsistent, Esse sou eu!

When i first saw the pictures i was horrified. When i actually saw them for real i fell in love with them, the whole site is lovely. This is where i would like to buy eventually.
We had a meal down there one evening at it was real nice, the atmosphere was buzzing and awesomw when the sun went down, would recommend a trip to anyone.

Avril,
It's great in the summer on an evening, the marina breathes, people off the boats are about and add to the cosmopolitan 'feel', the restaurants are busy, there's a great atmosphere, street entertainment, loads for the kids, the train, bikes, crazy golf etc.
It's well worth trying.

And you might even see Cliff Richard while you are sipping champagne sangria. His boat is moored down there, it's in one of the photo's but I don't think it fair to point out which one....

It will Bob, like the square in the old town which only had two restaurants even open (posted on here yesterday by a resident), once the season kicks in and the tourists, as well as the boaters/sailors/cruisers, return, the place, as the square, the strip and virtually everywhere else, will be humming.
And I can't wait!

Libby,
If Cliff floats your boat ( no pun intended) then when he's in residence he's often and frequently spotted in Makro!
Not that I'm suggesting you'd want to spend your Algarve time camped outside Makro hoping/waiting for the man to turn up to do his shopping! LOL!

Well if he was coming out of the Marina, I would park myself at Pippa's. Take a trip up for a tour of the vineyard and you might get a better idea there........

I know the boat and it's not as big as you might imagine, but I can't make it out in any of the pictures. Maybe I need stronger glasses.....
