Dunno, possibly more of those dark red plants in the foreground, the species of which I do not know.

I hate how peopleï compare Frank Zappa to God. I mean, he's cool and great and nice and everything, but he's no Zappa.

Grows quite easily as a summer bedding plant for hanging baskets borders etc. if just treated as an annual. Can be prone to powdery mildew if gets too wet so best watered at the roots/soil level. I personally have never seen it as an outdoor shrub in UK ( North East)

My parents grew it in a conservatory in the North East many years ago but not outside.
The BBC gardening website says:- "Shrub verbena is another name for this strong smelling tropical perennial, and the tight heads of flowers closely resemble verbena in appearance. It is a popular house- and conservatory plant, either as a bushy shrub or trained as a spectacular standard, but may also be bedded outside for the summer if kept in a warm sheltered place such as a courtyard or enclosed garden. A packet of seeds will yield plants with red, orange, violet or white flowers that change colour as they age, but there are also named varieties which must be propagated from cuttings." Hope this helps.

That's the one. Lantana. Thank you.
Next question:- Can this be grown in the UK and particularly north UK? |

Do you have a photograph or colour description?
One of the more common ones is the varieties of Lantana which usually have more than one colour flower on the same shrub. |
