There appears to be a large static crane being constructed in the entrance to the marina, obviously for either some construction project or to load boats in some way.

Any ideas ??

I can see it out of my window. It's not doing anything, but it is perhaps too windy!

I cannot see anything else in the way of construction activities and it looks a bit too tall for boats.

I will keep watch on it.

That was my first thought but I didn't think it would need such a long jib.

Isn't there a boat lift on the other side of the Marina, in front of the engineering sheds?

There is a boat lift, a green thing. I did have a think that a few years ago there was a static exhibition of big shiny boats in that area and that maybe something similar is planned, but they got those there without a crane.

Anyway, being a Sunday it's not moving.

It will be a bungee jump. People were busy painting signs etc this afternoon. This is the platform upon which you will taken on high, from there to jump.

I have a two word answer, second being 'off'. No way on this earth will I go up there, let alone jump to my certain doom.

I look to the more adventurous (foolhardy, mad, insert adjective of your choice) to do so.
