| Hi all Ive heard from a friend of a friend that eddys bar has closed down for good ... can't understand why as it's always busy lots of repeat customers and one of my faves, lovely food good atmosphere and always made to feel welcome 🤔 |

End of an era.... I've heard the same... We have been going there for the past 10 years and have got to know Eddie pretty welll... Top guy, top bar, great memories  ------------- Martin |

| Such a shame had some good times in there, likewise we've gotten to know both eddys well, when we was last over in October the place was rammed most evenings, maybe he fancys early retirement ? |

Refurbishment is going ahead with pace. A notice in the window says 'opening soon under new management'. Myself or Cubsur will let all Eddys fans know when it reopens as we pass it on our route home after attending the local ale houses. ------------- we're not brazil we're norn iron |

I don't know what young Eddie and Danny are doing at the moment but old Eddie had long wanted to step down. He found someone to lease the place from him. He and his partner are planning to move to Madeira (they may have already gone) and open a coffee shop. That's what he told my brother when he was over in October. ------------- Consistently inconsistent, Esse sou eu! |

Walked past last night, tables all set out but not many customers, does look different as they have done away with the massive TV screen in favour of several small ones and it looks like they have opened out to the back somehow.
