Hi im just looking to know where would be the most popular areas the expats are living in the algarve?

5% of the resident population of the Albufeira area is estimated to be British, with large numbers of other nationalities making maybe 10% non-Portuguese living here.

Other popular area are Alvor, Lagos, Praia da Luz and Tavira. There are pockets of ex-pats almost everywhere.
