Nearly 17 grand for an 8 year old motor with 80,000 on the clock? Wow, that is horrendous. I traded in my my 2010 VW Scirocco last month - it had all the bells & whistles in it, was in impeccable condition and it only had 27,000 miles on the clock. They allowed me £9,700 on it (Webuyanycar offered me £6k) and the VW dealer had it up for sale a week later at £11,200. He probably would have sold it for £10.5k. I bought an ex demo 2016 (reg March 1st, list price £24k)) Golf with 501 miles on the clock and I got that for £17,400. So with my trade in I only had to give them £7.7k cash. They also gave me 3 years warranty, 3 years servicing, taxed it for a year and the filled it with petrol. On top of that they sent the missus a great big bunch of flowers. Why are 2nd hand car prices so high here - no wonder the roads are full of clapped out old bangers. ------------- I hate how peopleï compare Frank Zappa to God. I mean, he's cool and great and nice and everything, but he's no Zappa. |
