Hi

Can anyone tell me do you have to make an appointment to see a doctor or do you just turn up? I have already registered.

You can go there and book with the receptionist like you would in the UK. Or book online here: https://servicos.min-saude.pt/utente/

Depending on how good your Portuguese is you might need a local friend to help you set up your password and talk you through it the first time.
