We must have someone who knows when the Windmill Hill, west side, lower down, got developed?
I would guess this was pre Sol e Mar which was '62, could be well before then.

I believe the beach in front of Castelo do Mar may have been called praia da baleeira ... as in the flats just to the right of there ..

That's now reduced to the little bit inside the fishermen's part of the marina. Baleeira = whaleboat

Anything more on the plans to build a sea level path from Peneco beach to the marina?  I guess it would come out roughly at that second picture.
