Electricity has been off here in PÃ¡teo since around 730am.

Anyone else affected?

Running on battery power using mobile hotspot to connect to the world.

Bah! The traffic lights down the road are on so it's very localised then. The cafÃ© next door but one has been turning away customers since opening time an hour or so ago.

Power is out along most of the street but not everywhere. People on one side ok. Fault reported.

My man in the know said that a local transformer had failed, cutting power to my block and several nearby. No damage done.
