The map there is slightly confusing. They are located off Rua Vasco da Gama. There's a couple of small shops in that street, but bigger supermarkets are getting on for a mile away.

Yes a gated complex ... good reviews ... cafe at the door and 5-6 min walk to top of the road where there are giro bus stops. From the pool, you can walk down to Monica Isabel and the main beach ... also other side of Auramar Hotel ( sister to Monica) is the little Praia dos Aveiros beach. It is a good quiet area ..

well worth a stay, 5* accommodation, lovely swimming pool, 2 min to beaches, restaurants cafe's shop all within walking distance as well as the famous strip. Far enough away though not to be disturbed by noise.
most apartments have free wifi and uk tv
