This is my families twentieth year visiting Albufeira. You would think I would get fed up with the place but no, I just miss it more every year. Anyway to celebrate I have been given permission to stage a forum quiz featuring none other than ALBUFEIRA. The first prize is a book called:- A Short View Of The History Of Albufeira by Idalina Nunes. There are no second or third prizes, so please read carefully I will submit ten questions about Albufeira, one each week, and entrants MUST, PRIVATE MESSAGE me their answer. NO answers are to be posted on the forum. Posting an answer on the forum means immediate disqualification and I will send the GNR round to see you. If a correct answer is received, the participant will qualify to answer the next question, If an incorrect answer is given, the participant is OUT of the quiz and no longer allowed to answer questions. The quiz is all about FUN and ALBUFEIRA. The quiz will start next week suggestions and comments are welcomed ------------- Ally |

Without giving the answer away. Please can someone confirm that number seven " Roamcare " doesn`t have a letter too many in it. I have sussed out the other nine but with this one I can only get it with a letter less or one of the a`s becoming an r ------------- cameronout |

Now it has been posted by some that I couldn't run a message never mind a quiz, this is probably true  I know I said at the start of the quiz that the 1st prize was a book but since then I have had come into my possession an 1883 Portuguese coin. It is an XX REIS coin with D. LUIZ . I . REI . DE . PORTUGAL on the flip side. (see picture) So Big Col can have his pick of the first prize, either the book or the coin. Well I never, I've actually won something Many thanks to Ally for organising the quiz and I have sent him a PM as I have chosen the book as my prize. To steal his thunder the answers were:- 1. Just been playing a quiz on-line (Instant Quizzes) which is mainly trivia questions. One question was " What were the prizes the patrons of the Yorkshire Tavern in Albufeira were playing for when 28 of them were arrested for illegal gambling. Obviously I got the right answer.
