Think you might get more people seeing this if you post in the local transport section, actually you might get some idea's from posts there already made on this subject.

This website's home page has an enquiry facility for you to put in your dates/times etc and get quotes from local transfer companies - try that - otherwise BravoTur is perhaps the best bet.
As a general point there is a mine of useful info on this site both "formal" and in the forum section being added by people on the ground with good knowledge of the area and there are hardly any questions that cant be answered by a bit of "trawling" on the site

For airport transportation services I would recommend a towncar service. This way you are riding in style and they will also know all of the great places to visit. They are not too expensive either.

Yes Tiga another advert, how obvious when the members name is the same.

We've used Algarve 365 a few times now and have found them to be very good. They are well-organised, competively priced and all their transfers are private, so no sharing with any other parties or endless drop-offs.

I have to say we used Karls new service re Michael in Tunes arranged it all for me, He picked us at the Orada Appartments and straight to the airport 6, of us € 35.00 and the service was first class, if i may mention he said that he does work for Cheeky Girl as well and she is very happy.
Sorry to say on our arrival i had to get the orada to arrange our collection at the airport as i didnt get the time to arrange a transfer myself € 60.00 one way wowwwwwwwwwwwwwwww, i nearly died and i paid this guy not the orada , it was a local portugal bus company , but no name on the bus .

Resorthoppa are ok but be warned, a few years back I was on one of their big coaches and because our apartment is on the west side of the Old Town we were last off after about a dozen or more drop offs. It took 3 hours and the flight from the UK was only 2.5 hours. Of course you can be lucky especially in low season and get dropped off early doors.

I'm with Diceyuk, yellowfish unless I'm booking a hire car. I like the idea of piri piri sauce as I'm not much of a wine drinker, now if it was sagres................

Just booked with Yellowfish for our trip starting Saturday. Even though we've only used them 5 times it appears we qualified for a 50% discount on this trip under their loyalty scheme. So it's only cost us 30 Euro instead of the usual 60 Euro. I think they're unbeatable

Used Yellowfish for the last few years and brilliant service every time, would highly recommend !
I used Paradise tours and was left stranded in the airport a few times, not a pleasant experience with kids !

We use Algarve365 for our transfers
http://www.algarve-365.com/airport_transfers.html
Used them for quite a few years now. Always friendly, on time and very good prices.
They have a pricing table on their site http://www.algarve-365.com/airport_transfers.html

"very good prices", I don't think so 35€ one way to Albufeira is 5€ more than Yellowfish. By the way, the Yellowfish free gift this year is a bottle of wine with chocolate in it (I kid you not) When the driver gives it to you, tell him to keep it

But, Yellowfish mostly use the 125. Certain companies only use the A22 which is worth paying a little extra for.

We have used bravoturs for the past few years and their price is the same as yellowfish, ie e60 return Faro to Albufeira, pay the driver. They use the A22 most of the way, not the A125. I like using this company 'cos they are based in Albufeira.v

After you've had 10 trips with Yellowfish (i.e. 5 there & 5 back) they give you a free one next time

Our friends and family have all used Bravotur for years and I have never had one complaint regarding service or price.
The way Faro airport is going with hire car service I am thinking of using them myself

We used funnyorangetransfers recently for our return private transfer and couldn't fault them. On time both ways, very careful drivers and only €54 return to Vale de Parra (same price to Albufeira) 10% discount when booked on-line.

I have used Resorthoppa, now known as Hoppa, many times and always been very happy with them. If you book online early you can get a relly good deal, or they do discount offers from time to time. We travel by their bus in a share and for 3 of us return fares from Faro Airport to Albufeira and it cost a total of £36.14p So £12 each returns, can't be bad eh? They are always prompt and reliable. Hope this helps.

I used Hoppa for the first time last month when I had to return to the UK for a funeral. Only paid about €10/11 for one way. Had about a twenty minute wait at Faro. Driver was polite but a bit mad (illegal left turn at one point). If I had the cash for a proper private transfer, and the waiting time was eating into my annual holiday, I would take that option every time.
Friends who have a holiday home here and were regular users had a nightmare with them in the summer. Took them longer to get from Faro to Albufeira than it did from Glasgow to Faro.
You pays your money, you take your chances, I guess.

Myself and the wife were over last week. We used funnyorange for the first time, very happy with the service, for both legs of the journey. Different drivers, but both were very punctual and pleasant. Vehicles were new and very clean. We paid 54 Euros (total).
