We have been visiting regularly, usually at least twice per year, staying at Cerro Alagoa. Just back home today and saddened by the continuing slid into the gutter of the Old Town. Stags and hens everywhere, drunken idiots at every turn. Satuday night was horrendous aound the top of bar street where I think Nunno Ess had comdandeered the entire corner.  I definately felt a change in the vibe ofthe place, less families and perhaps overall lesser numbers. Restaraunt ownes we have know for years pretty much saying the same thing. I believe the mayor has pushed through new laws but I feel it will be too late to save the Old Town

It's about time they did what was said and cracked a few skulls. There was no visible police presence on Sunday evening.

But many bar owners are complicit in this, plying groups with 'cheap' drinks for maximum profit.

No action will be taken while the hotels are full and the bars are busy, they will only do something when its too late.

I agree with this, in April we saw several hen and stag parties, now tbh they were well behaved but this will affect the type of tourists that book to go and I would not like to see a Magaluf effect
Also weirdly there were a lot of Indians working in the old town, where have the Portuguese gone !
