It came to quite a number of people`s attention, including the press, that Albufeira was running with unusually high covid infection totals ... so they complained ... and whaddayaknow .. CM Albufeira has HALVED its total infections in one day ... they now say 576, which is probably nearer the true figure ... running around 200 new infections per week .. so that should all come down within the next two weeks.

The figures ignore the fact that most of those infected suffer few if any symptoms and 99% will fully recover. The way they go on makes you think people are dropping dead in the streets.

I dread to think what's going to happen to us all when the influenza season comes around.

Flu will continue to be lower if people continue to take the precautions they do with covid. I understand both are spread in similar ways?

It would further help if 80% of people didn't ignore the hand sanitiser in the shops, or spend half their time with their masks around their chin, or under their nose. And then moan about figures, however they are arrived at.

And... what is it with the people who kid themselves that they are actually wearing a mask... but for some unknown reason are unable to keep the damned thing over their noses. They may as well not bother?
