Have any other owners found that now the rental enquiries have started coming in, that they all demand a big discount for July/August?

“I’m desperate for a summer holiday. This is the only country anyone can travel to. I can only travel when everyone else wants to travel. I demand a discount!”

Is it just me....?

Demand is a bit cheeky. Perhaps request would be acceptable. But you're not a charity.

From the tone this might be a difficult renter and best avoided.

No doubt many owners will be wanting some money rather than no money, but to give in to a 'demand' for a discount I agree could be taking a risk.

And who knows what travel will be permitted and not permitted in July and August with the rules changing all the time.
