Some really interesting pics, across and down into old town from up high on Cerro Branco. Interesting because this is not an oft seen perspective, I found it great fun picking out all the places, bars, roads etc, hope you enjoy.

That brings back some memories. We stayed in Cerro Branco several times and have some similar photos. It's also very interesting looking down over the old town and the "new square" at night. The colours and perspectives are great and we also tried identifying bars and landmarks too.

Cheers Col,
I’ve just realised that they aren’t all from the same location, my mate Perry (Algarveaddick), took us to another viewpoint a couple of hundred meters up the road, so slightly different perspective, I thought they were to be posted next but some are there now. I have circa another 20 to 25 if wanted? I don’t want to hog the board with posts/pics though if there’s already enough posted from this viewpoint?

My bad! The contact sheet I’m using has printed them in a different order! Yep, you’re right, I’ll post some more from second locale later, cheers.

Great photos Andrew.

Some of these have a high vantage point, were they taken from an upper floor balcony?

Thanks, you’re welcome.
Yes, Cerro Branco is elevated and then these were a further two and three stories up. Two locations about 200 yards apart. Again thanks to AA for facilitating access to two private balconies.
I was mesmerised by what we could see and how it all looked from such a viewpoint, the likes of which I’d not viewed before, hence I fired off so many shots, all now saved to my library/collection.

We have stayed in several apartments there including one on an upper floor. My photos were in the season where the light was more hazy and not as crystal clear as these. Excellent.

I love them, you are overlooking the roof of our building in some of them. Not back until February the pics will have to keep me going.
