Its time for the annual Atlantic Cup bonanza, here is the site ....
In summary, its a bigger turnout than the norm, ten teams in all including Brentford B [who attended a few years back] and Ulsan [Korean Republic]. Otherwise its Scandinavians wall-to-wall with four Danish, three Swedish and Viking Stavanger from Norway. Fixtures run from February 2nd til 10th. Five games at Albufeira, two at Parchal, six at Estadio Algarve, and one at Lagos, kickoff times vary. From past experience venues/times get changed late, so anyone thinking of attending should keep an eye on the website. Enjoy!

..... have also discovered an International U17 boys tournament, also in February .... 10th, 12th and 14th.
Its the usual four team round robin, Portugal, Spain, Netherlands and Germany. Previous years the venue has been over at VilaRealSanAntonio, this time five games are announced at Lagos with one at Farenses ground [Est Sao Luis].

Yeah worked out well for them too, a bumper crowd turned out including Mr Beckham in the lashing rain. The boy apparently played quite well and he can in fact bend it like Beckham according to the reporter.

Another UEFA U16 Women National Team Development tournament . This one , all matches played over at Estadio Vila Real de Santo António. February 1st, 3rd and 6th with two games per day, the usual four-team arrangement.
Entrants are Netherlands, Germany, England and Italy. |
