I understand that Rangers are playing one match behind closed doors.

Other games seemingly confirmed and apologies if I am repeating anything :

Sheffield Wednesday v Shrewsbury at Ferreiras FC 9th July 1900hrs
Fulham v FC Porto at Albufeira stadium 16th July jko changed to 2030hrs!
Sheffield United v Real Betis at the Algarve Stadium 12th July 2000hrs.

Please double check kickoff times a week or two before the game. Anyone reading this and planning to go to the Sheffield United game be aware that there is NO public transport to or from the stadium in the way of buses. The other two places are no problem if you are in Albufeira.

That is the Bela Vista stadium in Parchal and it is indeed a 1000am kickoff!

If I were to go it means the 0840 bus from Albufeira and 1235 back from Parchal.

Or maybe a nose around Ferragudo or Portimão afterwards?

Also on 6 July, swansea vs mansfield, 11h CEST on Vila Real Sto António.

Swansea will do their training camp on south spain, and come to Portugal to play that friendly match

The Mansfield website says the game v Swansea is at Vila Real. Swansea certainly would not want nearly two hours extra driving to Albufeira.

Mansfield will play an inter squad match between 1st team and U-21's at Guia FC on Friday morning 5th July at 10.30am. For those who don't know, Guia's ground is just to the north of the village centre (the roundabout with the chicken statues on it) just off the road to Algoz.

The game between Portimonense and Wrexham on 9th July is a 1900hrs (7pm) kickoff.

Own transport needed as there is no train or bus back to Albufeira area after the game.

Arrive in Faro this coming Friday. Coming for the Swansea match. Any other matches for next weekend? Even if it's not English teams. Just any football going on at all?

We only know about those mentioned above eg Rochdale on Saturday morning, Sheffield Wednesday next week etc.

Our local season doesn't start until September so it's far too early for most pre season activity. In any case, most pre season games at second tier and below are played behind closed doors to avoid the obligatory cost of policing.  Most of the clubs don't have websites so it's very hard to get any information.
