Passport stamping

   I had my passport stamped on entry to France yesterday. Frontier police said that the temporary Residencia paper I have in lieu of those that expired on 1st January 2021 (and which no doubt many of you also have) is not recognised by France as valid for entry.

So, presumably I must ask for my passport to be stamped next time I leave Portugal, which I expect to be within 90 days, but what happens if I don't? Any thoughts welcome.

This same issue will confront any resident planning to drive through France to get home.
